Managing Director/Chief Executive
He is a seasoned insurance professional with experience in all facets of insurance spanning over 20years, an author, insurance scholar and corporate player in the insurance industry.
He obtained a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos in 1987, and qualified as
an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London in 1992, and also qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria in 1993. On 1st October, 2010, he was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, having met the requirements for the Fellowship Award. He also has an M.SC. Degree in Finance (Financial Sector Management) from the University of London.
He was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA) specializing in Insurance Management by The Commonwealth University in 2017.
He started his insurance career with Niger Insurance Plc in 1980, and was the pioneer Manager in charge of Motor/Marine Department in Admiral Insurance Company Limited, Nigeria, where he later became a Controller (Underwriting). He began Platinum Insurance Brokers Limited, Nigeria, as its pioneer General Manager/Chief Executive Officer before joining International Insurance Company Limited, The Gambia, as its pioneer Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, a post he held before starting International Insurance Company, Sierra Leone, Limited. He lectured at the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), Banjul, The Gambia. Recently, he launched two books titled “Insurance Marketing in West Africa” and “The Environment of Insurance Business in West Africa”. He is happily married with children.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, as well as a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (U.S.A.). He holds a bachelor’s degree in insurance from the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria.
Benson is a seasoned insurance practitioner with an in-depth wealth of experience in the insurance industry spanning three decades. He has worked in various capacities, including Underwriting, Product Development, Reinsurance and Claims management in the insurance industry. He is described as a visionary, strategist.
Benson is known to consistently provide solutions to complex business challenges and make high-stakes decisions using experience-backed judgement, critical thinking, strong work ethic and irreproachable integrity.
Before joining IIC, he was the Head of Group Life Business at AIICO Insurance Plc, a leading Insurance company in Nigeria, where he provided managerial, technical, and actuarial expertise to support business objectives.
John Adebayo Adeteju, BSc.MBA, FCA
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Mr Adeteju; a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
He is a 2013 holder of MBA (Management) from Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Nigeria and a 1985 Industrial Relations and Personal Management graduate of University of Lagos, Akoka-Lagos. He is also a 2003 certificate holder of the Financial Analyst program of the Lagos Business School and a member of Lagos Business School’s Senior Management Program (SMP24) in 2005.
He started his working experience in 1985 with Universal Business Machine (MINOLTA) in Lagos as an Accounting Assistant and later moved to Lafax Finance Company Limited, Lagos, Nigeria in 1992 as an Assistant Manager (Finance & Accounts) . Between 1995 and 2001 he was at A&G Insurance Company Limited, Lagos, Nigeria as an Assistant Manager and in April 2001 he was appointed a Manager and Head of Finance & Accounts department of Admiral Insurance Company Limited, Lagos, Nigeria. In 2003 he became an Assistant General Manager and Head of Finance and Investment of Great Nigeria Insurance Company Limited, Lagos, Nigeria; a position he held till 2009 when he left to manage Joladam Global Ventures and got involved in training in Accounting and Administration as well as Consultancy from where he joined International Insurance Company (SL) Limited in October 2016 as an Assistant General Manager (Finance and Accounts).
In 2021, he was promoted the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with oversight function on the Human Resource/ Corporate activities of the company.
Mr. Eke Sylvester O.M, HND (Insurance), MBA (Management), ACII, ACIP
Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Mr. Eke Sylvester is a seasoned insurance professional who started his insurance career in 1987 with continental Reinsurance Company Plc; renown and one of the best professional Reinsurance Company in Africa. There, he developed great interest in the world of Insurance business and desired to make a profession out of it.
In 1992, he gain admission to study Insurance at the prestigious institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu where he obtained Higher National Diploma (HND Insurance) in 1996. In his quest to make a mark in his chosen profession, Mr. Eke registered with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and started taking the professional exams.
He got charted and was declared an Associate of the Institute in 2002. He is also an Associate of certified Institute of pension of Nigeria and Holds Master Degree in Management.His work experience spreads through Reinsurance company, Life office Companies and Non Life office Companies. He has worked at Senior, Management and senior management level with various institutions the like of Continental Re, Hallmark Assurance and union Assurance before joining International Insurance Company Limited.
Mr. Eke is happily married with children.
Mr. David N. Okiyi,
Snr. Manager (Information and Communications/Admin)
David holds an HND in Computer Science from the Institute of Management Technologies (IMT), Enugu, Nigeria, in 1996. He later joined the EDP Audit and Security Associates in Nigeria where he was trained as a Systems Auditor for two years.
He worked at Warsun Network Solution Ltd, Nigeria (an Internet Service Provider), in 2002 and later at Orion Technologies Nigeria Limited where he consolidated his experience in System Auditing before joining First International bank (SL) Ltd as the System Auditor where he worked for about five years before joining IIC (SL) Ltd as Head of ICT.
Miss Esther Kortu, HND, B.Sc. (Accounting)
Manager (Corporate Service) (CSM)
Esther had a Higher National Diploma in Accounting, College of Business Studies in 2003 and a B.Sc. in Accounting and Finance from IAMTECH College affiliated to Njala University, Sierra Leone in 2018.
She has over thirteen (13) years experience in Accounting and Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Human Rights and Medical field, all with national and international organizations of which thirteen (13) years are in Management, Administration and Field Experience.
Her key strengths are Management and Team Leadership for transformational development. She worked at the Action Contre la Faim (ACF) SL, American International School of Freetown, United States Peace Corps and Mercy Ships before joining the company in 2016.
